Man United suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Watford in the Premier League – a team which is sitting at the bottom of the table.

The Red Devils picked up some really impressive wins against the likes of Man City and Spurs during the past couple of weeks but they made a really poor start to this game.

And according to their manager, it was the poor first half which largely contributed to yet another loss in the league.

“It was a mistake, it happens in football and it is what we train for every day to make sure they don’t happen again,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports, as reported.

“David has been very good lately, it is just one of those things that happen.

“You have to earn every point on the pitch and today we didn’t deserve that. I can talk about it all day long. We have to face the fact we have two games coming up that we have to improve on.

“We started the game slow. The first half was very, very poor from both sides and when you concede two goals like we did in quick succession with their two shots on target we gave ourselves too much to do.

“We had been doing well but you have to earn every single point in this league. It was too slow, it was like a testimonial in the first half from both teams.”

Man United have had some really contracting games this season and this loss against Watford was easily one of their poorest performances.

The Hornets up until now had managed to win just a single game in the Premier League this campaign but these three points against Man United has surely put some wind in their sails.

Next up, the Old Trafford outfit take on Newcastle United at home in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
