Manchester United have made winger Jadon Sancho their top transfer priority this summer and as per the various reports circulating in Europe, Borussia Dortmund want around £110 million for the 20-year-old.

Sancho has scored 17 and assisted 17 goals in 32 Bundesliga matches during the 2019-20 season but still, some pundits think BVB are demanding a crazy sum for the England international.

Many people have urged Solskjaer not to splurge so much on a single player right after such a prolongeed lockdown but according to Andros Townsend, Man United should pay up asap.

“Jadon Sancho is a world-class player, potentially a future a Ballon d’Or winner,” the Crystal Palace winger told talkSPORT.

“Paying £108m for a player of his age and his quality, I think he’s more than worth that.

“He’s English, he’s young, I think they’re getting a bargain if they are getting him for that price.

“Obviously he’s going to bring a lot of creativity, he’s a very fast and skilful player, he can play on both wings, he’s two-footed, he’s played overseas so can handle that pressure of leaving his family…

“He’s got it all for someone of such a young age – he’s only 20!

“Like I said before, he’s a world-class player and at £108m I think Man United are getting a very, very good bargain here.”

Yes, £110 odd million is way too much, that too immediately after such a financial turmoil but there’s also no denying that Jadon Sancho is one of the best youngsters in European football right now.

He has spent time with Manchester City before heading to Germany meaning he should take no time to settle down at Old Trafford. Also, the lad’s just 20-year-old meaning if Ole does manage to sign him then United’s right-wing will be sorted for at least the next half-decade.
