Chelsea want to get rid of Robert Sanchez at the end of this season and they are planning to sign Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal, according to HITC.

Robert Sanchez joined the Blues from Brighton last summer but the keeper has failed to impress so far. He’s conceded 25 goals and kept only three clean sheets in the 16 Premier League appearances he’s made for the London outfit and currently, he’s been out of action for more than two months with a knee injury.

Backup keeper Petrovic has done a very good job in Sanchez’s absence but Pochettino does not view him as the long-term solution which is why Chelsea will go after a keeper like Aaron Ramsdale during the upcoming transfer window.

Will Aaron Ramsdale be the ideal signing for Chelsea?

David Raya’s arrival at Arsenal has pushed Aaron Ramsdale down the pecking order and even though the English keeper was fighting for his place during the first couple of weeks, it’s very evident that he is going to be sold in the summer.

Ramsdale is also keen to head out for a fresh challenge and a move across London can be the ideal solution to revive his career. He is still only 25 years old and last season, he was very good in front of goal for the Gunners.

This season, he’s featured in only five EPL games but last time around, he was a regular feature for Arsenal. In 38 league games, he had kept 14 clean sheets and had conceded only 43 goals. It’s the lack of distribution that has led to his downfall at Arsenal but for Chelsea, he can be the perfect signing.

Raya is no doubt a better passer than Aaron Ramsdale but the England he will be a major upgrade to Robert Sanchez at Stamford Bridge.

Rasmdale is valued at only €28 million and Arsenal will let him leave for a fee of around €40-45 million which will actually make him a bargain signing for Chelsea. Pochettino won’t have too much money to spend money on a new keeper because he has to repatch his other departments as well and in such a scenario, Aaron Ramsdale can be the perfect man.
