There have been talks of Alphonso Davies leaving Bayern Munich and as per a report by 90Min, Real Madrid along with Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in signing the full-back.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the Allianz Arena in the summer of 2025 but Bayern know what he’s worth which is why they are already planning to tie him down with a new deal.

He moved to Germany from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018 and he’s played games for the Bavarians across all outfits. He’s currently one of the most sought-after left-backs in the world and his market valuation stands at €70 million.

€70 million might look like a bargain for a player like Alphonso Davies but because he still has two more years remaining in his contract, if Bayern do decide to cash in on him in the summer they will not accept anything less than €110-120 million for the 22-year-old.

Davies’ agent had recently claimed that talks of a new contract with Bayern Munich were on hold and at the same time, he’s hinted that Real Madrid(among others) could be one of the clubs who could be a serious contender for the defender.

Nick Huoseh had said: “There is interest from many teams. I read the same articles on the internet, but in the end, we will see what happens in the coming months. I am sure that Real Madrid can be one of the clubs that would like to sign Davies, along with several English Premier League clubs. They all want to have one of the best left-backs in the world.”

Will Alphonso Davies choose Madrid or will he want to play in the EPL?

Manchester City are currently the best football team in the world and any player would go to extreme lengths to play under Pep Guardiola. City ended the previous season with an English treble and the way they have started this campaign, there’s every chance they will defend all their three trophies.

Man City can go head-on with Real Madrid in this transfer race but it would be foolish to deny that Madrid won’t be the favourites to sign Alphonso Davies if Perez wants him on board.

Ancelotti will be leaving next summer so we have to wait and see what plans the new manager will have but the Los Blancos are slowly rebuilding their squad and this summer, they have more or less managed to restock their midfield department.

If Alphonso Davies is not running after a significant pay rise then Madrid and Man City will be his likely destinations but if he wants financial security then Chelsea will very much be in with a chance.

Chelsea have spent money like crazy this year and they are showing no signs of slowing down. Their new boss has brought in a host of players and if the Blues fail to finish in the top-four this season then Boehly could sign even more new players.

Chelsea do have Ben Chilwell as their primary left-back with Cucurella as the backup but right now, no player’s future is secure at the club. This will be a long-shot for the London outfit but they have the capability to outbid both Madrid as well as MCFC.

Joao Cancelo’s time at Manchester City is over and someone like Alphonso Davies can be the ideal replacement but Madrid won’t give up without a fight, that’s for sure.

As things stand, MCFC and Real Madrid are the two favourites in this potential transfer race but we seriously doubt if Bayern Munich will let him go next year. They still have two more years to negotiate an extension and the German champions will be pretty confident that Davies will commit his future to the club.
