Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen but the Premier League side are expected to face stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund.

The winger joined Leverkusen from PSG last summer and this ongoing season, the youngster has caught the attention of a number of big European clubs.

Le10Sport are reporting: “Excellent under the colours of Bayer Leverkusen, Moussa Diaby is starting to make a good reputation on the European scene. Two big clubs are thinking of him for the summer transfer window.

“According to our information, two clubs have come to inquire of his entourage very recently. The first is none other than Arsenal, in the Premier League.

“The agent of Moussa Diaby has excellent relations with the Gunners and this can clearly facilitate a possible operation. The second team is in Germany: Borussia Dortmund.”

Will Arsenal be able to sign Moussa Diaby?

As per the report, Bayer Leverkusen want around £27million in exchange for the winger which should not be a problem for either of the two clubs.

While Arsenal should be able to match the biddings of BVB but the Bundesliga side might have an upper hand, especially if they manage to offload Jadon Sancho for a massive transfer fee.

Diaby still has four years left on his current deal meaning Leverkusen are in no hurry to sell him off this summer. So the onus will be on Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund to lure the winger out of his current club at the end of the current season.

If the Gunners have the part ways with Aubameyang then Mikel Arteta can surely use a left-sided winger like Moussa Diaby.
