According to Football Insider, Rangers FC will allow Jack Butland to return to the Premier League if they receive around £15 million.
The keeper joined Rangers as a free agent from Crystal Palace and this season he has been in superb form for the Ibrox outfit. Butland has kept 29 clean sheets in 29 Scottish Premiership appearances for the club and he had even been tipped for an England call-up.
His performances made sure Gareth Southgate took notice of him but the Three Lions manager has opted not to bring the 31-year-old into the squad for the latest international break.
Despite the snub, Jack Butland is very much focused on his career at Rangers FC but his fine performances could attract interest from several Premier League clubs in the summer.
The Gers do not want to lose the keeper but they won’t be able to pay premium wages like the EPL clubs which is why a transfer fee of around £15 million and they will allow Butland to return to England.
Rangers FC were recently knocked out of the Europa League but they are still in contention for the SPFL title and Jack Butland is going to be a key asset in helping them overtake Celtic.
Philippe Clement knows how valuable Jack Butland is to his team but it’s almost impossible for the Gers to hold onto the keeper by giving him a wage rise.
As per Salary Sport, Butland earns £25,000 per week at Ibrox and these types of wages are peanuts for any Premier League club.
Jack Butland is obviously happy playing for Rangers FC because the Scottish side has given him a new lease of life but deep down, even he is aware that players playing in the English top division will get preference from Southgate over those who are playing outside England.
On the financial front, Rangers brought in the English keeper as a free agent and his current market value is only £2.56 million which means if the club can sell him for around £15 million then they can make a massive profit.
