Man United picked up a sensational win over Manchester City this weekend and it seems like Solskjaer just like Jurgen Klopp is turning out to be a nightmare for Pep Guardiola.

Not only have Man United done the double but their Norwegian boss has managed to beat City thrice this season itself.

And in general, Man United have done really well against the big six sides this season and right now there’s a buzz that the Red Devils might finally be ready to challenge for the Premier League title next campaign.

While Ole has a firm belief that side’s moving in the right direction but he’s still a few players short.

The manager said after the derby win: “It’s a massive win because Leicester and City, we have to look up and try to catch them.

“We can’t afford to give points away too often, like last week against Everton, when it was there for us. Maybe we have made amends.

“We feel we’re improving all the time and we know we lack one, two or three players and some experience, to be considered a title contender.

“We know that and we’re not going to start talking about that now. We’re going start talking about getting up up the table, getting more points and challenging for that top four because Chelsea and Leicester are too far ahead of us for my liking.

“I haven’t beaten Pep three times, it’s my players that have. Yes, I do believe in my capabilities of improving this club as much as I can.”

Can Man United be title contenders next season?

Over the past two transfer windows, Man United have been really mindful regarding the players that they sign and each one of them has so far made a positive impact in the first-team.

Players like Wan-Bissaka, James and Harry Maguire have been outstanding for most of the season and now Bruno Fernandes has added that much-needed spark to the final third.

But despite the great results, the manager seems very mindful of what needs to be done during the summer break in order to close the gap between them and the likes of Liverpool and Man City.

The Red Devils have certainly taken a couple of steps forward during the current season but surely the manager needs a few more transfer windows before Man United can even think of returning to dominance in the Premier League.
