Patson Daka RB Salzburg

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka but as per The Mirror, Leicester City could come in late and snatch the Zambian.

The report claims: “Leicester City are considering a move for RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka this summer.

“Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for Jamie Vardy’s long-term replacement at the King Power.

“And the speedy Daka, one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe, features high among the targets under consideration by the FA Cup winners.

“Chelsea and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the player, who is open to a move to England”

Will Liverpool loose out on Patson Daka?

Liverpool have been linked with Patson Daka for a really long time and some reports have even claimed that the Anfield outfit are very close to agreeing on a deal for him.

But now, this entry of Leicester City is sure to turn this transfer race on its head since the King Power outfit can give Daka a regular place in the starting line-up next season, something Liverpool could struggle to offer.

Jurgen Klopp has players like Firmino and Diogo Jota in his squad so the Zambian international will have to come in and prove his worth to the German manager.

At Leicester, things could be a lot easier since Jamie Vardy is ageing and Brendan Rodgers is actively looking for a long-term replacement. And with 27 goals in 28 league games this past season, Patson Daka could very well that man.

Reports are claiming that Salzburg want around £25million for the sale of the centre-forward which should not be a big problem for either of the two English clubs. Now the only way Liverpool can gain an advantage in this race is if Patson Daka wishes to play in the Champions League next season.
