Tottenham are interested in signing Raphinha but Premier League rivals Liverpool have also set their sights on the 27-year-old winger.

Liverpool had tried to sign Raphinha from Leeds United back in 2022 but the Brazilian international rejected a move, choosing to join Barcelona instead. Since then, he had a mixed time with the Catalans, having 33 goal contributions in 70 appearances across all competitions.

The winger is more than happy with life at Barcelona and he wishes to remain at the club but Barca are under massive financial duress which is why they will forced to sell him if a good enough offer comes in.

Spurs were looking to wrap things up under the radar as they have already held talks with Raphinha’s agents over a summer switch but things are about to get a whole lot more interesting with Liverpool entering the scene.

Liverpool are reportedly looking at Raphinha as the long-term replacement for Mo Salah and if the Anfield outfit is serious then Spurs will find it really hard to match up. Once they sell Mo Salah, money won’t be a problem for Liverpool and on the other hand, if Spurs miss out on a top-four finish then there’s no way Raphinha will agree to move to North London.

Initially, the Reds wanted to bring in Mbappe but he is on his way to Real Madrid which is why Liverpool are focusing on their other targets. Apart from Raphinha, Klopp’s side are also keeping tabs on players like Jarrod Bowen and Ansu Fati but the Brazilian currently seems to be at the top of their wishlist.

The 27-year-old’s move to Spain has not been a total disaster but this season, injuries have been a major issue in his progress. So far, the 27-year-old has been out injured for close to two months in total and currently, he is sidelined with a muscle injury.

His current market value is €50 million but Barcelona can easily demand around €80-90 million because his contract with the club expires in 2027.

These are still early days but with two of the biggest Premier League clubs interested in signing him, Barcelona will be very much tempted to cash in on Raphinha during the summer window.

Spurs set the ball rolling to sign Raphinha:

According to a recent report from SPORT, Tottenham have already made a formal move to sign Raphinha as Barcelona have been offered €70 million for the winger.
