Willian Chelsea
Willian playing for Chelsea

Chelsea take on Arsenal in the final of the FA Cup this weekend at Wembley and Willian might not be a part of this game due to his rumoured move to Arsenal, as per The Metro.

The report cites the Sun saying: “Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is considering leaving Willian out of his starting line-up for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Arsenal due to the Gunners’ interest in signing the Brazilian.

“Arsenal are keen on signing the Brazil international and are willing to meet his wage demands.

“However, in what could be an ironic end to his seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge, Willian’s final game as a Chelsea player looks set to be against the Gunners at Wembley on Saturday.

“Chelsea now expect Willian to sign for Mikel Arteta’s side but the Sun claim Lampard fears the imminent move could impact the winger’s performance.”

Will Willian be dropped to the bench?

Willian was rested vs Wolves in Chelsea’s final Premier League match as Mason Mount played down the right flank during the 2-0 win last weekend. But we do not think Frank Lampard will take the risk of benching the Brazilian during such a crunch match on Saturday.

Yes, Wilian is being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer but there’s no denying that he has also been one of Chelsea’s best forwards this season.

This season, he played in 36 Premier League games for the Blues, scoring nine and assisting seven goals.
