Chelsea news Willian
Willian playing for Chelsea

Willian is set to be a free agent at the end of the season and by the looks of it, he will not be signing a new deal with Chelsea.

While the Blues are ready to offer him a short-term contract but Willian wants at least a three-year deal which is why the negotiations have halted and the club are now ready to let him go.

But as things stand, it seems like Chelsea will be at a bigger loss since the winger has no shortage of takers with the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Juventus and Inter Milan are all interested in signing him.

There have been strong rumours that Inter Milan are really inclined towards getting the services of Willian in the summer but now as per reports, the player could end up snubbing a move to Milan.

Well, Inter are currently being managed by Antonio Conte who has been a manager at Chelsea and the Brazilian has played under him.

And so while some might think that Willian would be interested in reuniting with his former boss but the pair did not share a really healthy relationship at the Bridge and perhaps this is why the winger might end up not joining Inter Milan.

While this will surely be a big blow for the Serie A side but it’s certainly good news for Spurs boss Jose Mourinho who has also shown an interest in signing him at the end of the season.

Mourinho is another man who knows Willian from pretty close quarters and unlike Conte, these two share a perfectly great relationship which is one of the main reasons why Spurs are currently the favourites to sign the winger.

Also, another reason why the soon-to-be free agent might choose to join the Lilywhites is because he’s hinted that he would want to keep playing in the Premier League – preferably while still playing in London.

So now while it’s clear that Willian will be heading out of Chelsea as a free agent, it remains to be seen which club he chooses as his next destination.
