Willian is set to be a free agent in a couple of weeks time and it’s almost certain that the player will be heading out of Chelsea during the upcoming transfer window.
The Brazilian has been a key player for Frank Lampard’s side this season scoring nine and assisting seven goals in 36 Premier League matches and as per the latest updates, the Blues are offering Willian a new contract at the club.
But according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the winger has rejected this offer meaning he is all set to move out of Stamford Bridge.
He wrote on Twitter: “Willian has refused another bid from Chelsea to extend his contract until June 2022. Still no agreement. Arsenal are now in talks with his representatives to sign him as a free agent – no bids from Barcelona at the moment.”

This will be a great boost to both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur since the two North London clubs have been eager to sign Willian for some time now.
Mikel Arteta clearly does not want to miss out on such a talented free agent while Jose Mourinho is also itching to reunite with his former Chelsea winger.
While there’s a big chance that Willian will remain in England next season but recently his agent Kia Joorabchian had hinted that the player has an offer from the MLS as well.
He told talkSPORT, via Football London: “I don’t think he’s done a U-turn or any kind of turn. He’s always been very much the same mode.
“We had two very big offers – one from MLS which required him to move on July 1 – but he’s always been in the same mode, saying, ‘I want to finish the season at Chelsea and the day after the season has finished I will make my decision’.
“He has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs on the table, he has an MLS offer on the table which is very big, and he’s got two other offers in Europe.
“So Willian is in a very good position and he is going to make his decision after the last game of the season.”
For a 31-year-old, moving to the MLS is a pretty lucrative proposal but we do not think Willian is going to take that route given the kind of performances he has had this season with Chelsea.
