Chelsea might just pull out of the race to sign Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell as they now want to make a move for Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon, as per reports.

Sergio Reguilon was sent out on loan to Sevilla during the 2019-20 season and he has been outstanding for the La Liga side scoring two goals and providing four assists.

Real Madrid have put the 23-year-old up for sale and up until this moment, Premier League side Everton were the frontrunners in signing him.

As per reports, the Toffees have already made a bid of £18m for the Real Madrid academy product but the entry of Chelsea is sure to shake things up a bit for Ancelotti’s side.

The Blues have been after Ben Chilwell for almost the whole of last year but right now Leicester City are demanding around £80 million for the England international.

This price is insanely high and Chelsea might not be able to pay this amount since they have already spent hefty amounts on Ziyech and Werner while Kai Havertz is also on his way.

Sergio Reguilon will be the perfect replacement to people like Marcos Alonso and Emerson and at £18 million, he would be a steal.

The entry of Chelsea though will be a big blow for Everton since the Blues can easily outbid then.

Lampard’s side not only have the financial power but they can also provide Champions League football to Sergio Reguilon next season.

This transfer news is still in its early days but Real Madrid will certainly be licking their lips since two big English clubs have shown interest in a player whom they want to sell without any fuss.

Leicester City will be another club who will be happy since Ben Chilwell is a really important player for Brendan Rodgers and if the Foxes can hold onto him then they will have a great chance of finishing in the top four in the Premier League next season.
