West Ham United and Everton are reportedly interested in signing Wolves’ 20-year-old defensive midfielder Owen Otasowie.

The youngster has come up through the ranks at Wolves and he made his senior debut for the side at the start of this year. But his current deal expires in the summer of 2022 and since he has refused to sign a new deal, the Molineux outfit have decided to cash in on him this time around.

It is being reported that Club Brugge have already tabled an offer to sign the midfielder but their current bid is below the asking price of Wolves.

Wolves have prized Owen Otasowie around the £5 million region but Club Brugge have offered around £3.5 million for the defensive midfielder.

Belgian publication Voetbalkrant are suggesting that West Ham United and Everton are also keeping tabs on Owen and that they could make life difficult for Club Brugge.

The 20-year-old has done nothing worth of note during his time at Wolves and last season he played just 185 minutes across six Premier League games and his current market valuation is only £1.35 million.

We do not think West Ham or Everton are seriously considering a move for Owen Otasowie as they have no real use for him so spending money on him makes no practical sense. Wolves though can certainly use these rumoured links to pull the desired £5 million from Club Brugge.
