Arsenal have a very meagre transfer budget for the summer but their signing is most certainly going to be an eye-catching one.

If reports are to be believed then the Gunners are closing in on Yannick Carrasco and the transfer could be wrapped up as early as this month.

Yannick Carrasco has spent the past season playing in the Chinese Super League but now he has dropped a major hint that he could be moving to the Premier League for the upcoming season.

Carrasco said: “Negotiations are going well.

“I am aware that I am an important player for the team but I hope they let me leave. From a personal and family point of view, I would like to return to Europe.”

“The Premier League is more physical, but there are also a lot of spaces to run into.”

Yannick Carrasco was a key player for Atletico Madrid for almost three seasons before he chose to head to China but there too the winger has been in red hot form.

As per TransferMarkt, the 25-year-old scoring a whopping seven goals and made two assists in just 10 games last season.

Arsenal are reportedly paying in the region of £25 million for the winger which is more than half of their allocated £45 million summer budget.

But this is not the first time that Emery has chosen to move for Yannick Carrasco as the Spanish manager tried to sign him during the January transfer window also.

That deal though eventually did not go through and Emery opted to bring in Denis Suarez as a replacement.

Now that the Barcelona man has turned out to be a complete failure, the Gunners have no other option but to splash money in order to bring in Yannick Carrasco for the upcoming campaign.
