Zinedine Zidane to replace Hansi Flick as the next Germany manager
Zinedine Zidane Real Madrid

As Real Madrid were having a troublesome La Liga season made publications in Spain believed that winning the Champions League was the only way by which Zinedine Zidane could save his job.

And the Frenchman did exactly that.

Real Madrid won their third consecutive Champions League trophy beating Liverpool in Kiev but days later Zidane Zidane stepped down from his position – to everyone’s surprise.

And ever since the Frenchman vacated his chair at the Bernabeu many rumours have surfaced as to why he made such a call.

According to the latest reports, Zinedine Zidane decided to exit Real Madrid due to disagreements over signing Eden Hazard and David de Gea.

It is being claimed that Zidane had told Florentino Perez about his likings towards Chelsea forward Eden Hazard and the manager wanted to bring him on board during the summer transfer window.

But it seems as if, Perez was not too keen to sign Hazard and he did not sanction the deal.

On the other hand, it was quite opposite with David de Gea.

Florentino Perez wanted to make a move for Real Madrid’s long-term target De Gea but Zidane was not too fond of the shot-stopper and wanted to weigh in his other options.

These disagreements grew to such a proportion that Zidane felt it would be better for everyone if he stepped down from his managerial position at the Bernabeu.

With Zidane gone, it would be very interesting to see Real Madrid’s approach towards Hazard and De Gea.

While Chelsea can breathe a sigh of relief, Manchester United, on the other hand, might have something to worry about.
