Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is pushing really hard to join Real Madrid by the end of the summer according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Courtois pulled out another fine performance against Arsenal on Wednesday as he kept out multiple attempts from the Arsenal attacking line. But seems that the Belgian No. 1 has his heart set on a move back to Spain.
Courtois spend a significant amount of time in Spain playing for Atletico Madrid as a Chelsea loanee and his ex-girlfriend currently lives in Madrid with his children. Since Courtois is now the legal custodian of his children many reports had suggested that he wants to head back to Spain in order to reunite with his kids.
This is a goalkeeper putting pressure to Real Madrid so they close a deal for next season. But those of you clever enough had already worked that out. He is trying to go to Madrid and Madrid want him… https://t.co/emog1aNTbS

Guillem Balague claims that Thibaut Courtois is putting pressure on Real Madrid to make a move for him even though the player recently suggested that he could sign a new lucrative deal at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “It has just turned the new year, so we will wait a few weeks and then sit around the table.
“I’m happy at Chelsea and a deal is close. Has it been a distraction? Not for me.
“I’m just calm and relaxed because I’m tied to Chelsea. Despite the rumours and everything, I am focused on Chelsea and I’m happy here.
The news from Balague is a total contrast to what Courtois said about renewing his contract but we feel that the journalist might be true as earlier reports had suggested that the Chelsea No. 1 has already rejected a new offer at the club.
Maybe he is just saying all this to grab Real Madrid’s attention.
