When Tiemoue Bakayoko arrived at Chelsea during the summer he seemed to be the perfect replacement for the outgoing Nemanja Matic. But with each passing day, the French International is turning out to be a flop.

Bakayoko was sent off during the game against Watford on Monday night after his two first-half yellow cards – meaning that the Blues had to play most of the game with 10 men. And this was one of the major reasons why Antonio Conte’s men suffered a humiliating defeat as the Hornets thumped 4 goals past them.

Bakayoko received a fair bit of stick from the Chelsea fans while he was walking off the pitch after being sent off on Monday – clearly showing that the former Monaco man is far off from being a fan favourite right now.

And logically he should have laid low, pulled up his socks and let his future performances do the talking. Instead of doing that, Bakayoko has gone out and made a promotional tweet for one of his sponsors.

Bakayoko posted a marketing message by sponsors Nike in which he wrote: “When you don’t know where you’re going, look where you came from.”

This promotion after such a terrible display on Monday will surely not help Bakayoko win over any fans.
