Manchester United went back to winning ways against Huddersfield last weekend after suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur two weeks back.

Mourinho will be hoping that his side can keep up that winning form when they travel to take on Newcastle United this Sunday. Manchester United are sitting second in the league table with 56 points and any chances of challenging their neighbours to the title have evaporated into thin air. Mourinho will now be hoping that they can finish as close to Man City as possible. The Newcastle vs Man United will be an important encounter for both the sides. If United pick up all three points then they can widen the gap with the other teams fighting for their spot while if the Magpies lose the match they will slip down to the relegation zone.

NEWCASTLE VS MAN UNITED TEAM NEWS:

David De Gea was a mere spectator against Huddersfield on Saturday but he is expected to be a bit busy when United take on Newcastle this weekend. The right-back responsibility will be on Antonio Valencia and the Ecuadorian will be complemented by Luke Shaw in left-back. Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo will be the centre-back partnership of choice for the manager.

Mourinho chose to play Scott McTominay in midfield last weekend but away from home we hope that the manager will be not experimenting with his central-midfield, and will go with the duo of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.

Jesse Lingard will once again be in central-attacking-midfield assisting Romelu Lukaku, who will be playing as a striker. Alexis Sanchez will be on duty in the left-wing assisted by Juan Mata on the right-wing.
