Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has reportedly refused to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge in the hopes that he can move to Real Madrid during the summer.

Zinedine Zidane wanted to sign the Belgian International last summer but the deal collapsed after Hazard suffered an injury while on international duty. But the Los Blancos’ interest in the player is very much alive and Florentino Perez will once again try and sign him during the summer transfer window.

Last summer Chelsea were on the driving seat but now it looks like the tables have turned on them.

Hazard’s current contract with Chelsea runs until 2020 and the Blues had offered him a new deal in which he was expected to earn £300,000 a week in the form of wages.

But Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Eden Hazard has refused to sign the new contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Mundo Deportivo’s news that Hazard has rejected an offer comes days after Chelsea were reportedly planning to tie down the playmaker by making him sign a new deal.

Eden Hazard is very much aware of the fact that Zinedine Zidane wants him at the Bernabeu for the next campaign and the Belgian is willing to hold out until the end of the season.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer the Blues £109 million for Hazard’s services and some rumours have also claimed that Zidane might use Gareth Bale as part of the deal.
