Manchester United are amongst a host of other clubs who are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale during the summer transfer window but United legend Ryan Giggs does not want that to happen.

Giggs who is currently managing the Welsh national team has advised his team’s star player to stay at Real Madrid for the next season.

“It’s Real Madrid – there are only a handful of clubs who have got that aura,” he said.

“Of course you would want to stay there. What’s Gareth won, three Champions League titles? The proof is in that. When you are at clubs like that, you are always going to win things.

“Gareth has the ability to score every type of goal and there are similarities with Ronaldo,” Giggs added.

“They both started out as wingers and they are now goalscorers.”

Gareth Bale moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 but his time in Spain has been marred by constant injuries.

In the 2017-18 season, the winger has played 29 games for Real Madrid scoring 12 goals. Out of the 29 games, he has played – only 19 games though have been in the La Liga.

While Giggs feels that staying at Real Madrid will give Gareth Bale the much-needed exposure but if reports are to believed then both Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane have lost faith in the winger and are ready to show him the door during the summer.
