Mohamed Salah moved to Liverpool from AS Roma during the previous summer transfer window for a fee of million and in the past couple of months, the Egyptian has become the darling for the Liverpool fans.

The forward is undoubtedly one of the best players in the Premier League this season – his only competitor being Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne but what if we told you that there is a player in Europe right now who is as good as Mo Salah – if not better.

We are talking about Ciro Immobile the 28-year-old forward who plays for Lazio.

Let’s take a look at why we think that Immobile’s name should be taken in the same breath as Mo Salah.

Salah has played 49 games in all competitions for Liverpool and has managed to score an astounding 43 goals. Immobile has managed to net 41 goals but the Italian International has managed to do that in just 46 games.

Salah predominantly plays a winger so a 43 goal tally is nothing short of a fairytale for his. But in the assists department – which is his primary job, he is not far behind too. The Egyptian has managed to clock up 11 assists in all competitions.

Now Ciro Immobile is a player who plays as an out and out forward – straight down the middle so you expect him to score many goals. But the 28-year-old just like Salah has managed to provide a large number(9) of assists throughout the season.

Mo Salah has played a total of 3393 minutes of football throughout the season while Immobile has played 3191 minutes about of the above stats include international tournaments that they have played for their respective national sides.

The only point of argument that one came make right now to ridicule the above stats is the fact that Mo Salah plays in the English Premier League which is considered a tad bit tougher than the Serie A.

So clearly Ciro Immobile should deserve no fewer accolades as compared to Mo Salah.

But then he isn’t playing in the Premier League, is he? *wink wink*
