Chelsea take on AS Roma this midweek in the Champions League Group Stage and Antonio Conte will be hoping that his team can keep up the momentum that they gathered during the weekend’s win against Bournemouth. The Blues are currently the group toppers with seven points from three games while Roma are second with 5 points from the same number of games.

TEAM NEWS:

Antonio Conte is expected to make a couple of changes from the team that took the pitch at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. While Antonio Rudiger is expected to retain his place in the starting lineup, Gary Cahill will come back into the defensive line after being benched during the weekend. N’Golo Kante is also expected to make a comeback into the starting lineup after being sidelined with an injury. The Frenchman will most likely partner Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas.

Zappacosta is also expected to be given a rest and Ceaser Azpilicueta might take up his place after having played the previous game in central defence. Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard will make up the familiar front line where Morata will play as the lone striker and the Belgian will play just behind him.

3-5-2 CHELSEA EXPECTED LINE UP:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois

Defence: Luiz, Cahill, Rudiger.

Midfield: Alonso, Fabregas, Kante, Bakayoko, Azpilicueta.

Attack: Morata, Hazard
