Barcelona are planning a bid for out of favour Manchester United player Daley Blind – according to Marca.

Daley Blind was a regular starter during the Louis Van Gaal era but his appearances have become very limited under Jose Mourinho – especially this season. Even though he started the first three games of the season but since then he has been mostly warming the benches. A few weeks ago there were reports that Manchester United would be triggering the one-year extension clause in his contract but that was mostly to get a good transfer amount out of the Dutchman’s sale.

Now Marca is claiming that Barcelona are looking at Daley Blind and might make a bid for him during the January transfer window.

While a January move seems to be a bit unrealistic but the Catalan giants are willing to wait until the end of the season.

This bit of news is pretty fresh and many details about it are not yet known. But looking at the lack of games that Daley Blind has been getting at United a Barcelona bid might not be shocking at all.

Blind has the ability to play both as a left-back as well as a central defender. But unfortunately, he has lost out on both those spots. Ashley Young has more or less been an automatic choice in the left-back position while a host of top-class central defenders means that Blind can’t get into that part of the pitch also.
