Barcelona have been linked with Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho for almost over a month now. The Catalan giants have tried almost every trick in the book in order to bring the Brazilian to Camp Nou. But Liverpool remain adamant that they will not part ways with their star performer.

And now with less than 48 hours left in the transfer window, reports claim that Barcelona are looking elsewhere for a replacement to Coutinho. As per the report, Barcelona have made contact with Jorge Mendes to discuss the posibility of bringing Thomas Lemar to Spain.

The winger had a wonderful last season for Monaco in the Ligue 1 and is currently one of the few stars left in the club. But having said that, the 21-year-old has been a target for many a Premier League clubs. Arsenal have been chasing the French International for a good two months now and even Liverpool have shown a late interest in the player.

Though Liverpool’s interest was mainly to seek a replacement for the outgoing Philippe Coutinho. But now that Barcelona seem to have shifted their focus to Lemar will Liverpool drop their interest or will Klopp feel that the Frenchman under any circumstances is a fine addition to the team?

Arsenal though will be the biggest losers if they fail to land Thomas Lemar. The 21-year-old was one of Wenger’s primary summer targets and if Lemar joins another Premier League rivals then the Gooners will feel that they have lost another battle.
