Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has given an update of sorts about his transfer plans during the January transfer window.

Numerous reports have suggested that Chelsea are line to sign a couple of players at the start of the new year in order to boost their team’s performances. And their Italian coach has seemed to stand by these reports but he claims that the ultimate decision lies with the board.

Chelsea have been linked with players like Ross Barkley and Alex Sandro but as per Conte, the board will make the final decision whether to place bids for them or not.

Conte said, “It is right to have a meeting with the club about the transfer market in January but, as you know very well, I am a coach,

“For the transfer market it is the club, you have to ask the club.

“I can give my opinion, but the last decision is with the club.”

Alex Sandro seems to have already told the Juventus board that he wants to move out of Italy in January and it seems that he has chosen Chelsea over Manchester United. But Juventus maintain a steep price tag for the left-back which the Chelsea board are a little hesitant about. Ross Barkley too is in line to move out of Everton and Chelsea seem to be his preferred destination.
