Chelsea and Antonio Conte are hopeful that Eden Hazard is going to sign a new contract with the club.

The Belgian International joined the Blues back in 2012 and since then he has grown to become one of the key figures for the club. Under every manager that has managed the club since his arrival, Hazard has always been the main forward in the playing eleven.

The 26-year-old has played over 250 matches for the London outfit and scored 72 times. And due to this, it was quite understandable when Real Madrid came calling for the player last summer. Chelsea though managed to fend them off and Hazard committed his future to the club. But there is a fear that the Spanish giants have not given up the chase and will come back once again.

That this why the Blues want to bind the forward in a new deal – even though his current contract with the club runs out in 2020. Reports claim that if Hazard signs a new contract then he will also get a pay rise of a £100,000-per-week on top of his current wage of £200,000-per-week.

A few weeks back Chelsea had signed Hazard younger brother Kylian who is now part of the development squad at the club. And the Blues believed that this deal would stop the star from leaving Stamford Bridge. And true to that report, Chelsea are now highly optimistic that Eden Hazard will sign a new contract.
