Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has been a transfer target for Real Madrid for quite some time now and with each passing week that interest seems to grow exponentially.

Real Madrid wanted to sign the Belgian International during the summer transfer window but a serious injury sustained during International duty put a hold on those proceedings. Now the Chelsea superstar is back in form and is arguably playing some of the best football of his Chelsea career. So evidently multiple reports are claiming that Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has made the player his top transfer priority for the next campaign.

And one thing we know very well – when Real Madrid goes after a player they usually end up getting him.

While most Chelsea faithfuls desperately want the winger to stay back at the club one person though has a totally different view to it. According to former Blues defender Marcel Desailly, Eden Hazard is not bigger than the club.

He claims that even though it would be sad to see Hazard move to the Bernabeu but Chelsea as a club will still carry on.

‘We are still in the season, no player is more important than the club,’ Desailly told Goal(as reported by the Metro)

‘Even when [Didier] Drogba left, one of the great players, the spirit of the club continued. They continued to win.

‘We will be sad if Hazard has to go but I am sure that Roman Abramovich is still passionate about the club.

‘He will bring in another player that can allow the club to be at the same level again.’
