According to a report, Inter Milan might have decided to let Ivan Perisic head to Manchester United as the Italians have no intention of keeping the player against his will.

But the report also suggests that Inter might want Anthony Martial on a season long loan in order to fill the void which will be left by Ivan Perisic. United have already made two unsuccessful bids for the Croatian as Inter have refused to lower their price of £48 million.

While Inter have no intention of selling the player but they have also made it clear that the club will not keep him against his will. Because the last thing that they would want is an unhappy player.

But having said that, Mourinho might not be too keen to let go of Martial given the fact that his forward line has already been reduced with the departures of both Rooney and Ibrahimovic.

Inter adviser Walter Sabatini said: ‘Spalletti has asked not to sell Perisic. He wants Perisic as one of his players because he is fantastic. Inter wouldn’t like to sell him, but at the same time, the club doesn’t want to have an unhappy player.

‘One thing is certain: the price of our players will be set by Inter Milan. We hope Perisic will stay but we will know more in the next day.

‘If Perisic will leave, we want money and a player and we expect Perisic over these next days will show good behaviour.’
