According to the Daily Star, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp want Cesc Fabregas at Anfield.

The Spaniard had a rather up and down season at Chelsea this past year. While he has been part of a superb team under new manager Antonio Conte, but he has found it really difficult to get enough game time.

The 30-year-old has managed to start only 10 games for Chelsea the whole season as Conte has preferred the likes of Nemanja Matic over him. And now news is ripe that Conte is chasing Monaco midfielder Bakayoko.

If the Frenchman does arrive at Stamford Bridge then Fabregas will further down the pecking order. It will become much more harder for him to get starts and in such a scenario it would be best for him to join another team.

Jurgen Klopp has been a long time admirer of Fabregas and his trade. And now he wants the World Cup winner to play for him at Liverpool. And with Barcelona showing interest in Coutinho, Fabregas will certainly be a great replacement for the Brazilian.

But Klopp might have to fend Manchester United off if he wants to sign Cesc. According to various reports, Mourinho also wants to bring the Spaniard to Manchester United. Mourinho was the one who brought Fabregas to Chelsea from Barcelona. And now its looks as if he wants to reunite with him at Old Trafford.

But if Fabregas is really interested in a move then he might just choose Liverpool over United. United already have a packed midfield and if Cesc does move there then it will be nothing but Deja Vu for him.
