Chelsea have moved close to signing Emerson Palmieri from AS Roma but it seems that his teammates Edin Dzeko will not be joining him at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had reached an agreement with Roma over the transfer of Dzeko but now it seems that the former Manchester City man will not be playing in the Premier League.

It is being reported that Edin Dzeko has rejected a contract from the Blues as he could to not agree with the length and the amount of the payment of the deal.

Dzeko wanted a three and a half year deal at Stamford Bridge and a wage structure of £120,000 per week. But the Blues were only ready to offer the Bosnian a one and a half year deal at the club.

It seems that Antonio Conte’s hunt for a partner for Alvaro Morata still continues and multiple reports are suggesting that Chelsea will now turn to Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud as the player wants to leave the Emirates on a loan deal until the end of the season.
