Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been the subject of interest from Real Madrid for a pretty long time now and multiple reports have claimed that the former Atletico Madrid man will move to the Bernabeu this summer.

Courtois too has claimed that he wants to head back to Madrid someday in order to live with his children and this statement has prompted many to believe that the Blues No 1 will not be at Stamford Bridge for a very long time.

The shot-stopper has also rejected a new and lucrative deal at Chelsea citing reasons that he wants to focus on the rest of the season.

Now though he has claimed that he intends to stay at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Belgium International told Sporza:“I have one year contract (remaining) and feel good at Chelsea.

“At the end of the season, we will sit down together. I live there quietly and know that I will be at Chelsea next year as well.

“If I go to the World Cup with a clear idea, sign or wait another year, my mind will be clear at the World Cup.”

The Chelsea goalkeeper has returned back from international duty owing to a hamstring injury and he remains a major doubt for the Blues weekend clash against fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
