The summer transfer window has just begun and immediately crazy transfer rumours have flooded the market.
The latest amongst them being that of Riyad Mahrez and his alleged move to Manchester City.
According to a report in the Leicester Mercury, Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal with Leicester City for their forward Riyad Mahrez.
Now, Riyad Mahrez trying to move out Leicester is something that we have all heard before with the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal all being interested in the Algerian International at some point during the past couple of seasons.
Apart from these English Premier League clubs, others like Barcelona and AS Roma were reportedly also in line to sign the winger but somehow all of the above-mentioned deals did not materialize.
In reality, it was only Arsenal who had shown genuine interest in signing Riyad Mahrez with Arsene Wenger himself claiming at one point that his team wanted the Algerian onboard.
Now it seems that Manchester City’s name has been added amongst the long list of suitors.
Leicester Mercury are claiming that City are willing to pay as much as 75 million pounds for the services of Mahrez and the only thing that is holding back the deal is the failure of both parties to accept on the agent fees.
To put things into perspective, if this deal does go through then Riyad Mahrez would have costed Man City almost double of what Liverpool had paid for Mo Salah one year ago.
