Arsenal are expected to name a fair number of signings during the summer transfer window and one of Unai Emery’s first priorities will be to sort out his defence.

The Gunners have leaked a flurry of goals during the previous season which means the Emirates fans will be seeing some new faces in defence next campaign.

And one of those faces could be Alberto Moreno.

Alberto Moreno joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014 and during the 17-18 season, the Spaniard made 27 appearances for the Anfield outfit across all competitions.

But last season, with the emergence of Andre Robertson, Moreno had fallen down the pecking order and now Klopp has revealed that the left-back will be leaving this summer.

The German said(as reported by the BBC): “Alberto is a person whose personality is reflected in how he plays – full of life, full of energy, always positive. An unbelievable character who is always willing to give all of himself for the team.”

Alberto Moreno is out of contract at Liverpool later this month and Liverpool have decided not to renew his contract.

This means the 26-year-old will become a free agent and Unai Emery wants to bring him into the Emirates.

The Gunners boss will have a very small transfer budget to work with during the summer transfer window which automatically makes Alberto Moreno a fine prospect.

During the 2018-19 season, Albert Moreno played in just 5 games for Liverpool meaning the next club he will join will have to promise him regular game time.

Having said this, Arsenal aren’t the only club who have been linked with the left-back as clubs like Sevilla and Benfica are reportedly interested in signing him.

While most of the English publications have claimed that Alberto Moreno will end up staying in the Premier League but some reports have claimed that the Spaniard could also opt to head back home for the upcoming season.
