Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is out of contract at the club this summer and Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will leave Anfield.

Alberto Moreno joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014 and with each passing, the left-back has seen his role dimish in the first XI.

During the 2018-19 season, Moreno made only 5 appearances across all competitions for the Reds and with Robertson performing so well, it is more or less certain that the Spaniard is off no use.

After winning the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that Alberto Moreno along with Daniel Sturridge will leave as free agents this summer.

The German said(as reported by the BBC): “Alberto is a person whose personality is reflected in how he plays – full of life, full of energy, always positive. An unbelievable character who is always willing to give all of himself for the team.”

And now reports are suggesting that Unai Emery wants to sign the left-back.

Unai Emery has mostly relied on a back-three this past season but reports suggest the Spanish boss wants to use a back-four from next season. And this is where Alberto Moreno comes in.

The 26-year-old might have had very little game time at Anfield last season but there’s no denying that he has enormous talent.

And Emery is very much aware of it.

Alberto Moreno has previously worked with Unai Emery at Sevilla which means that the left-back knows very well what the manager wants from his players.

And the fact that Alberto Moreno is a free agent is a cheery on the icing given that the Gunners boss has a really limited transfer budget this summer.

Arsenal currently have only Sead Kolasinac as their top-class left-back but if Emery manages to add Alberto Moreno amongst his ranks then surely it will be a great bit of transfer business from the North London side.
