Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been in red hot form this season and there are rumours that the Colombian could head out of the club next summer.

And these rumours have lit up even more ever since the Gers signed Jermain Defoe on an 18-month loan spell from AFC Bournemouth.

Alfredo Morelos has played in 34 games so far this campaign scoring 20 goals and providing 10 assists.

And now reports are suggesting that the striker might head out of Scotland this month itself.

Alfredo Morelos is reportedly being targeted by French club OGC Nice and their manager Patrick Viera is planning to make a move for the Colombian.

And this sudden interest in Morelos is due to Steven Gerrard’s former Liverpool teammate Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli joined Nice in 2016 from Liverpool and since then his career graph has gone up.

The Italian has managed to score 43 goals in 76 games during the three seasons at the club and it is now being suggested that Balotelli could be on his way to Marseille.

Marseille are interested in signing up the striker and the move could happen this month.

And it seems, Viera wants Alfredo Morelos to become the long-term replacement for the outgoing Italian.

As per the reports, Nice are willing to pay as much as £8 million for Alfredo Morelos which is pretty close to what Rangers have been demanding for the Colombian(£10 million).

Morelos was tipped to leave the club during the summer but someone a transfer could not be finalised before the start of the season.

But with the way, the striker has been playing this campaign, we are pretty sure he will be heading out of Ibrox – either this month or during the summer transfer window.
