Rangers FC might have finally decided to part ways with forward Alfredo Morelos during the summer – as per reports.

Kenny Miller had recently urged Gerrard to cash in on the South American and use that money to find a replacement.

Miller said, as reported: “Ideally, Rangers want to keep their best players.

“But I think that, particularly in Alfredo’s situation, it’s been going on long enough now that summer might be the time to get the best possible deal for him and then regroup, replace and strengthen in other areas.”

And now it seems like the Gers boss has made up his mind about Morelos’ future and right now the club is busy searching for potential replacements.

As per the latest rumours, Rangers are keeping tabs on 21-year-old Bordeaux striker Josh Maja.

Maja moved to France in January of 2019 from Sunderland and this season, he has been in decent form for Bordeaux.

During the 2019-20 season, Maja has scored six goals in 21 Ligue 1 games and Gerrard believes he can be the ideal replacement for Alfredo Morelos.

And this scouting from Rangers will surely be good news for Newcastle United who have been trying desperately to sign Alfredo Morelos over the past two transfer seasons but up until now, they have not had success.

Now with Rangers looking at Josh Maja, there’s a massive chance that Rangers are looking to cash in on Morelos but according to the experts, they will not take anything less than £25 million.
