West Ham United tried to sign Inter Milan midfielder Roberto Gagliardini during the January transfer window and the player seems to be back on sale – as per reports.

Inter paid around £23 million to Atalanta in 2017 in order to sign but this season the player has failed to impress manager Antonio Conte which is why there are rumours that the Serie A outfit could try and sell him off.

During the 2019-20 season, the player has played in only 12 Serie A games for Inter scoring two goals and making only two assists.

The Hammers failed to sign Roberto Gagliardini at the start of the new year but now that he could be available for sale we believe the Premier League club should try and sign him once again.

Is Roberto Gagliardini the right man for West Ham?

Gagliardini is primarily a central midfielder but can also play as a defensive midfielder meaning he will be a great luxury to have for David Moyes.

The Hammers boss does have the perfect midfielder in the form of Declan Rice but the England international has been on the radar of many top English clubs meaning there’s a big chance that Rice could move out in the summer.

Also, Mark Noble will be 33 next month meaning he too is in the twilight phase of his career and it will be nice to already bring in a backup in the form of Roberto Gagliardini.

As per TransferMarkt, the 26-year-old is valued at €12 million which makes him the perfect transfer target for West Ham United for the upcoming season.

If Inter does decide to sell him at this price tag then the Hammers will be suffering a heavy loss but given that Conte needs to bring in a handful of new players in the summer, the Inter boss could use the extra cash.
