Liverpool have made a flying start to the 2019-20 Premier League season and next up they take on Manchester City.

Right now, the Reds are sitting at the top of the league table and have been able to maintain a six-point gap from second-placed Man City.

But if Jurgen Klopp’s men manage to pick up all three points vs City next weekend then they will be able to open a nine-point lead which should be more than enough to get them through the first half of the season without any major worries.

Liverpool have so far dropped just two points this season and have managed to concede only 9 goals which is the second-best tally after Leicester and Sheffield(both 8).

But according to keeper Alisson Becker, his team must be more focused on stopping the “stupid goals”.

“It annoys me always when we concede,” he told reporters before Liverpool’s clash vs Genk.

“Stupid goals! When we concede that way, it annoys me and the team.

“We always have a common goal to win the game and to keep a clean sheet. You are closer to the victory with a clean sheet and you always have a draw.

“When you concede, the games become more difficult. We need to work better at that if we want to do great things.

“We can do better in our concentration. Against Genk[first leg], we conceded late on, so this annoyed me and the team. We need to keep our focus,

“We need to learn from these moments to make sure it does not happen again.”

Liverpool will be playing at home on Sunday meaning they should at least pick up a draw vs Man City. And if they do manage to somehow bag all three points then it is more or less certain that the Reds will make a very strong case about winning their maiden Premier League title by the end of May.
