Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana at the end of the season – as per reports.

Lampard is looking for a replacement to his current No 1 Kepa Arrizabalaga while Jose Mourinho wants to bring in a long-term heir to the ageing Hugo Lloris. And for both these sides, Andre Onana would be the perfect fit more since he was available for only about €30million.

Now though the player has sent out a clear message that he would love to return back to Barcelona after having left the club’s academy back in 2015.

‘It’s hard to say because with FC Barcelona, I am still in very good relations with the president, the coaches,’ the Cameroonian told about his possible return to the Camp Nou, via Metro.

‘As I said earlier, Barca is my home. If I have to go back, I will go back.

‘But today we are still far from it. I’m the Ajax goalkeeper and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.

‘I only take care of the ball game, what happens at the stadium. The rest is up to my agents who manage.’

Barcelona have also been linked with the 24-year-old keeper over the past couple of weeks but we do not think the Catalans will seriously consider making a move for the Ajax No 1 as they have a perfectly fine keeper in Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

But still, some experts claim Barcelona could try and secure a return for their academy graduate in the summer since he will be available for such a bargain price.

This will be a big blow to both Chelsea and Spurs who are badly in need of a new keeper and most their other solutions are proving to be way more expensive.

Ajax are known to sell off their players for the right price and with so many clubs interested in Andre Onana we are pretty sure the Dutch side will be willing to encourage transfer talks in the summer.

But in order for Chelsea and Spurs to steal a march over the other interested clubs, we feel they will have to jack up the price for the goalkeeper so the likes of PSG and Barcelona are forced to back out.

€30 million is a relatively cheap price in terms of the Premier League standards and we are pretty sure the two London clubs wouldn’t mind paying a few million pounds extra in order to kill the competition.
