Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has had a pretty topsy turvy season so far.

Initially, he started the season on the bench but the constant poor form from Alexis Sanchez meant the Frenchman was pushed up the pecking order.

And since, Anthony Martial has been one of the best players for Manchester United on the pitch.

Now under caretaker boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the forward has found a new lease of life and all those rumours of leaving the club during the summer have vapourised completely.

Under the Norwegian, almost every Manchester United player seems to have found their form back and Anthony Martial has revealed what advice Solskjaer has given him.

“It is great for me to work with a manager who was attacking even when he was playing, just like me,” Martial told Norway’s TV2.

“He comes with good advice, especially suggestions for positioning in front of goal and the actual finishing.

“There he helped me a lot.

“The best advice I have received from him until now is that I have to play to my strengths. Don’t put pressure on myself. He says I have to express myself on the pitch.

“It is very nice to be able to get such advice from Solskjaer.”

And it is not only Anthony Martial who has benefitted from Jose Mourinho moving out of the club. Even players like Victor Lindelof and Ander Herrera have featured more regularly but the Frenchman is clearly the prized jewel.

Anthony Martial is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season but they do have the option for one further year.

It is clear that Man United want the forward to stay but until they find a new permanent manager, the club would not want to indulge in new contract talks with Anthony Martial.
