Rangers FC have made four signings this transfer window but reports suggest the club are planning to bring in a few more players.

Reports have suggested that Steven Gerrard is planning to make a bid for former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel who currently plays for Turkish club Fenerbahce.

And now former Gers player Barry Ferguson has urged Gerrard to make a move for yet another one of his former teammates.

Ferguson wants the Gers manager to make a bid for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2014 but since then constant injuries has prevented the player from carving out a regular first team spot.

This season Adam Lallana has made only six Premier League appearances and currently, the attacking midfielder is way down the pecking order.

While Jurgen Klopp has maintained that Adam Lallana is very much part of the squad but we do not see the English international making regular appearances during the second half of the season.

And Bary Ferguson feels, Steven Gerrard should use his connection and try and bring Adam Lallana to Ibrox.

Ferguson said: “Adam Lallana is a top, top player and if Rangers get him they’ve got an even better chance of snatching the title away from Celtic.

“The guy is genuine quality. I’ve watched him long enough in a Liverpool jersey. The guy has fantastic ability, he can score goals and he’s an England international.

“It’s difficult to get into that Liverpool team with that top three they’ve got just now but he’s a top, top player.

“If Rangers pull that off I will need to give them a handshake.”

Adam Lallana is out on contract at Liverpool in 2020 meaning Jurgen Klopp will not let him off for a meagre fee this month meaning if Steven Gerrard does make a move for the midfielder then it would have to be for a short-term loan.
