According to a report by Football Insider, Rangers FC are planning to make a huge profit by selling goalkeeper Jack Butland at the end of this season.

The Gers brought in Butland from Crystal Palace as a free agent during the previous summer transfer window and in just one year, the keeper’s stocks have skyrocketed.

When he made a move from the Premier League to Rangers FC, his market value was a mere £1.28 million but as per rumours, the Gers are looking to bring in around £10-15 million from his sale.

His career at Selhurst Park failed to take off but this season, the 30-year-old has kept 15 clean sheets in 24 league games for the club. He has conceded just 12 goals in these 24 appearances and if Rangers do end up winning the league, Jack Butland would have had a major role to play.

The No. 1 made his senior England debut back in 2019 but since then, he’s played in only nine games for the Three Lions. However, his performances for the Gers have definitely pushed him close to a national team call-up.

England’s goalkeeping situation looks messy right now which is why Gareth Southgate has admitted that Butland is in the running to make it to the EURO squad.

The England manager has said: “I can’t deny that so again we have to make sure we’re watching everybody. Jack Butland is included in that because he’s obviously playing at a big club and is an experienced goalkeeper.

“It’s not an ideal situation with Aaron not playing, Sam at the moment not playing and Nick injured. We’ll have to see how that plays out.”

England call-up or not but Jack Butland will fetch Rangers a very handsome transfer fee. His contract with the Ibrox side expires in 2027 and if an English side is interested in signing him then bagging £10-12 million won’t be a problem at all.
