Real Madrid might try and go after Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund if they fail to land Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Mbappe is Madrid’s priority target for the summer transfer window and if they fail to bring him on board then Ancelotti wants to sign Man City forward Erling Haaland.

Now, according to Defensa Central, Real Madrid will send their top scout Juni Calafat to watch the 21-year-old in action as part of their Plan C.

Rasmus Hojlund made a very slow start to his Man United career but the Danish international has picked up pace in the previous couple of weeks. The forward has found the back of the net in his previous five Premier League appearances and finally, the 21-year-old is looking like a top centre-forward.

He’s netted 11 goals in 29 games for Man United this season and the way he is playing in 2024, it’s not a surprise that a team like Real Madrid are scouting him.

Rasmus Hojlund can fit in perfectly alongside top players like Bellingham and Vinicius Jr but there’s no way he is going to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Firstly, the 21-year-old is very happy with life at Manchester United and since the manager supported him through his tough times at the club, he will want to repay the faith.

The second reason why this move is not going to happen is because Kylian Mbappe is most likely going to end up at the Bernabeu so Ancelotti does not need to activate his backup plans.

Erling Haaland is also on Madrid’s radar and the Los Blancos have a much better chance of landing him rather than Rasmus Hojlund. However, Perez has his undivided attention on Mbappe and the Frenchman should join them as a free agent.

PSG have offered him a bumper contract to remain in Paris but the experts are claiming that Kylian Mbappe has made it clear that he does not want to remain at PSG beyond this season.

Man City are planning to offer Haaland a new and improved contract just to make sure Real Madrid don’t get to him but Hojlund’s deal with United expires in 2028 with an option for a further year so Ten Hag has no reason to panic.
