Arsenal are planning to bring in a couple of new players during the summer transfer window.

And it looks like Denis Saurez could very well be the first man to make the shift.

The Gunners signed the midfielder from Barcelona on a six-month loan deal during the January transfer window with the hopes of buying him permanently at the end of the season.

Barcelona were initially interested in a permanent deal at the start of the season but Arsenal’s cash crush meant that Unai Emery was only able to sanction loan deals.

But now reports are suggesting that the move is likely to be sealed in the summer.

As per Marca, both the clubs had agreed upon a £17.3 million transfer for Denis Suarez before the loan deal was signed and the Gunners are now more than willing to honour that contract.

Denis Suarez has so far made just two appearances for Arsenal since his move to the Premier League but both of them have been off the bench.

But Emery clearly views Suarez as a long-term asset and the player too wants to stay back in London beyond the summer.

While the Arsenal fans will be really happy with this news but the Gunners will have to secure Champions League qualification if they want a smooth transfer for Denis Saurez.

Reports suggest that Emery will only get £45 million if he fails to finish in the top four and this amount of money will certainly not be enough to finance the transfer wishlist of the manager.

Emery also has plans to sell off Mesut Ozil in order to free up some cash but his biggest priority right now will be to get back in the top tier of European football.
