Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made a number of decent signings during the summer transfer window but reports suggest that the Spaniard is looking to add a couple of more players before the new Premier League season begins.

Unai Emery is said to be looking at Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele as his next big signing and with the Catalans signing Malcolm last week, the rumours have started picking up wind.

Dembele was brought in last summer from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €145 million and Barcelona hoped that the forward would be a perfect replacement for Neymar who left for PSG.

But the 21-year-old have failed to make any significant impact during the previous season and according to a report earlier this month, the French International was ready to move out of Camp Nou if the team decided to sign a challenger to his position.

And now that Barcelona have brought in Malcolm, many reports have suggested that Arsenal will make a move for Dembele in the coming few days.

Now though, Ernesto Valverde has claimed that Osumane Dembele is going nowhere and will definitely get the chance to showcase his talent next season.

Valverde said: ‘Let’s hope it’s his[Ousmane Dembele] season,

‘He is an extraordinary player. The past year has been complicated because of the injuries, but even so, he has brought us a lot.

‘The important thing is that there is competition within the team. There are a lot of matches and we can not handle them with only eleven players.’

Ousmane Dembele played just 17 games in the La Liga last season and did not become the first choice forward under Ernesto Valverde. And many fear that with the arrival of Malcolm the 21-year-old might fall further down the pecking order next campaign.
