Arsenal manager Unai Emery in his latest press conference has made a lot of noteworthy statements which have garnered mixed feelings from the Gunners fans during the past 24 hours.

The first big hint that Emery dropped was the fact that Arsenal are still chasing Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi and there is good chance that the French International might end up in the Premier League in the coming weeks.

Sevilla are ready to cash in on N’Zonzi but are holding out on a transfer fee of £35 million and this is where the Arsenal manager is having a bit of an issue.

When Unai Emery was appointed as the new boss he was given a £70 million transfer budget and the Spaniard has already exhausted that amount in the process of bringing in five new signings.

So clearly if Arsenal do want to place that £35 million bid for Steven N’Zonzi then they would have to raise that cash by selling a couple of players from their current squad.

And this is where Chelsea are hoping to benefit.

Recent reports have suggested that Maurizio Sarri is keen on signing Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal with just one year left on the midfielder’s current contract at the Emirates and with Steven N’Zonzi on Arsenal’s radar, Chelsea will surely find it easy to lure Ramsey to Stamford Bridge.

Unai Emery has claimed that he is unsure about Aaron Ramsey’s future at the club but wants the midfielder to stay.

Having said this, the former PSG boss also hinted to the fact that if an opportunity comes by then the club will not shy away from signing a new midfielder.

Emery said: ‘I am telling you that we’re speaking inside and we are okay. There is only a possibility that we sign someone if it’s a good opportunity.’

Aaron Ramsey is yet to sign a new contract with Arsenal and the last thing the club would want is a repeat of the Alexis Sanchez saga. So if Unai Emery is sensible enough then he would offload Ramsey and then use that incoming cash to fund Steven N’Zonzi’s signing.
