Rangers FC play kick off their 2018-19 Premiership campaign this Sunday when they take on Aberdeen away from home. And all the fans will be hoping that new manager Steven Gerrard’s team can pick up all three points.

Steven Gerrard has made ten new signings since he was appointed as the manager of the Light Blues – bringing in players for almost every position on the pitch.

And the manager has recently claimed that the club are still in process of bringing a couple of more players before the summer transfer window ends.

Now former Gers manager Mark Warburton has backed the former Liverpool midfielder to succeed at Ibrox and feels that two of his new signings will make a lot of difference to the new look side.

Warburton who coached the Light Blues for two years said:

“He [Gerrard] has bought some very good players, the likes of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic,

“I think he’ll relish it, he’ll relish the excitement that comes in games, he’ll relish the demands of the crowd and he’ll relish playing at Ibrox as well.

“50,000 fantastic supporters and I’m sure Steven will be used to that and enjoy every minute of it”.

Rangers FC have completed the signing of  Allan McGregor, Goldson, Katic, Jon Flanagan, Scott Arfield, Lassana Coulibaly, Ryan Kent, Jamie Murphy, Umar Sadiq and Ovie Ejaria.
