West Ham United have made their eight signing under new manager Manuel Pellegrini which means that the London outfit have spent more than £100 million on new players during the summer transfer window.

The Hammers had already signed the likes of Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena and Lukasz Fabianski earlier on during the summer.

And now reports are suggesting that the Hammers have agreed on a deal to sign 21-year-old forward Xande Silva from Portuguese side Vitoria.

Silva joined Vitoria from Sporting Lisbon in 2015 but since then the forward has managed to make only 26 appearances for the senior team – scoring a single goal.

Xande Silva has spent most of his time at Vitoria with the B team but there too his goalscoring record is not too appealing which has let to a few doubts amongst the Hammers fans.

While the 21-year-old’s time in the league has not won him any favourites but his record with the Portugal U20 side has been very impressive(5 goals in 14 appearances).

The forward is primarily a supporting striker who plays just behind the front man but his goal scoring record is something he needs to improve if he wishes to be a mainstay under Manuel Pellegrini.

Xande Silva has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with West Ham United which is subject to an international clearance.

But Silva is in no ways the final player to arrive at the London Stadium as some reports claim that West Ham are closing in on Lille midfielder Thiago Maia who is set to arrive at the club before the new Premier League season begins.
