Arsenal manager Unai Emery brought in a number of new players during the summer transfer window and his main focus was rebuilding his midfield area.

Now that he has completed this fact, his focus seems to have shifted to the defensive area and it seems the Gunners will be out in the market in January looking for a new centre-back.

And if the latest reports from England are anything to go by then Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani could be heading for England next year.

Rugani has not been able to make a permanent place for himself since his move to Juve from Empoli in the summer of 2015 but it seems this season has been especially tough for him.

Daniele Rugani has managed to make only three appearances for the Old Lady this campaign out of which two have been starting roles.

The 24-year-old’s current contract with the club runs out in 2021 meaning the Serie A outfit do not have any immediate danger but with no game time under his belt, Daniele Rugani might be enticed to look for a new challenge.

And Unai Emery is planning to use this very same ploy in his favour as he decides to move for the defender next year.

Update:

The transfer rumours about Daniele Rugani were fueled once again when his girlfriend posted a picture online where both she and Rugani are seen trying to learn English.
